My journey began with an intense interest in and love of the natural world from a young age. I studied biology primarily to understand how and why organisms behave as they do and later sought to share my passion and insights with young people. I attended Penn State, where my studies focused on wildlife biology, after which I gained experience in the veterinary medical field, both as a veterinary nurse and a laboratory animal technician. After the birth of my children, I attended Kutztown University to focus on education and have been teaching since 2012.
I love to spend my spare time with family, playing piano, bird-watching, and breeding fancy mice! I also enjoy creative writing and hope to have an epic science fiction saga published at some point in the future! But most of all, I love working with students and helping them grow academically, as they discover their own passions in life!
