English Department Mission Statement
The mission of our high school English department is to empower students to become critical thinkers, effective communicators, and empathetic individuals through the study of literature, language, composition, research, and technology. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love of reading, writing, and discussion and encourages students to explore their voices and perspectives. Our goal is to help students develop the skills and confidence necessary to succeed in their academic and personal pursuits and to become engaged members of their communities.
