Hi everybody, my name is Mr. Meyers and I teach math here at Pen Argyl Area High School. This is my 19th year at Pen Argyl and 21st overall. I graduated from Pen Argyl in 1999 and went on to get my undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Elizabethtown. I also completed my Master's Degree in Mathematics Education from DeSales University. I live in the district with my wonderful wife and two sons (and two dogs and two cats). In addition to teaching math, I am also the Scholastic Scrimmage advisor (other districts call it Quiz Bowl). Outside of school, I train four youth soccer teams (ages 7 - 10) and coach three of them in games. I am active in the church I attend and run services, also writing and giving sermons, about 20 times a year. I coach basketball in the winter and love to read. Currently, I am reading financial books to prepare for the Financial Algebra class I am teaching for the first time this year but also enjoy fantasy novels such as The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. My family enjoys amusement parks, especially Hersheypark, and riding roller coasters.
