School-Based Services

SAP

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a team process that uses school resources to remove barriers to learning. SAP is designed to assist in identifying issues related to alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and mental health that may be hindering a student's success.

Safe to say

Safe to say is a platform that allows anyone to send an anonymous tip if they are concerned that an individual may be a threat to themselves or others.

PAAHS offers school-based counseling and mentoring services through St. Luke's YESS Program, Valley Youth House, and the Center for Humanistic Change. Please contact your counselor for more information.

Community Resources

  • Families First- Offers more than 20 programs in Pen Argyl Area School District focused on health, education and parenting, intended to provide family members with the assistance and tools they need to improve their quality of life. 
  • Center for Humanistic Change - Training programs for organizations and schools on wellness, parenting, drug and alcohol prevention, kids experiencing divorce/separation, peer mediation, conflict resolution, violence, bullying prevention, and life skills programs.
  • Crime Victims Council - Individual and group counseling, court accompaniment, support groups for children and adults, education and prevention.
  • Turning Point - Emergency Safe haven for women and children fleeing domestic violence.
